Checking in guests for your in-person events helps you:
- Track who attended your event
- See who registered but didn't show
- Prevent reuse of the same ticket
There are two ways to check in guests:
- You can use our scanner and scan their ticket (QR code)
- You can manually check them in from the guest list
Option 1: Scanning Tickets
Here's how to scan tickets:
- Open Eventship on your mobile phone's browser
- Go to your event page
- In the Host Controls sections, tap Scan Guests
- Use the scanner to scan the guest's QR code
Attendees can find their tickets (with the QR code) linked to in the confirmation email they received when they registered for the event. They can also get to it from the event page (must be logged in).
Option 2: Manual Check-in
To manually check in guests:
- On the event page, scroll to the Attendees section
- Tap the menu on the right of the guest's record
- In the registration pop-up, tap Mark as Check-in
Whether you scan guests or manually check them in, we store the date and time they were checked in. You'll see this date on the guest's registration pop-up or in the downloadable guest list.
